Our Story
After building and delivering our own quality shed brand for 45+ years, Relco Barns made the full transition to selling and delivering Amish made sheds in 2020, selling and delivering 70+ buildings for Lapp Structures of New Holland, , PA.
My Dad, Bill Ruggieri, Sr., started Relco Barns, as a sideline to his primary business, with his brother, Pat Ruggieri, in 1976 or thereabouts. I only know this because I, Bill Ruggieri Jr. can distinctly remember painting sheds at the working age of 14 years.
My Dads business evolved thru the years and the sheds became a more significant part of Relco activity.
After many successful years of building, Bill Sr. began to experiment with the idea of bringing in Amish craftsmanship by purchasing some Gazebos back in the 1990s and eventually brought Amish sheds into the picture, while still having our local crew build our own quality sheds. By 2015 Relco Barns had established a relationship with a particular Amish manufacturer, Lapp Structures. More and more sales of Amish Sheds, caused my Dad to think more seriously about the possibility of needing our own heavy duty truck and shed trailer after having delivered many with a local driver. He made the move in 2018 to our own delivery rig, and even more orders were sent to the Amish. And so, we continue to provide and deliver quality sheds to our customers, hoping to continue my Dad's shed adventure into the years to come.
Current Owner/Sales
After the passing of Bill Ruggieri, Sr. in April of 2022, after a 2 year bout with cancer, his son, Bill Ruggieri, Jr has taken up the reigns and has proceeded to bring the company through a challenging , yet successful transition of ownership.
As of July of 2022, Bill Jr, has made Relco Barns an S-Corp corporation, giving the busiiness a deeper foothold in the marketplace.
And now in July 2024, as this website is being created, Bill Jr. is diligently seeking a future for Relco Barns as a reputable shed seller and installer in the Rhode Island area, moving forward with the service oriented philosophy of his Dad.
